SMS Communications
Home Pro Valet uses SMS/text messaging to deliver service-related notifications to homeowners, real estate agents, transaction coordinators, and home service vendors. Our SMS program is operated in compliance with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) and the CTIA Messaging Principles and Best Practices.
1. How and When SMS Consent Is Obtained
For Homeowners: SMS consent is obtained at a single, specific point in the homeowner journey — the gift card request form (also referred to as the concierge request form). This form is accessed via a personalized link sent by the homeowner's real estate agent.
On this form, before submitting their request, homeowners are presented with an explicit, unchecked SMS consent checkbox accompanied by the following disclosure language (or substantially similar language):
Checking this box and submitting the form constitutes the homeowner's express written consent to receive SMS messages. This checkbox is not pre-checked and is not required to submit the form. Consent is not a condition of receiving any service or gift card.
At the moment of form submission, we securely record:
- The mobile phone number provided
- The timestamp of consent
- The IP address of the device used to submit the form
- The browser and device information (user agent)
For Realtors and Transaction Coordinators: SMS consent is obtained during the account registration and onboarding process via an explicit opt-in checkbox on the registration form.
For Vendors: SMS consent is obtained during the vendor onboarding process via an explicit opt-in checkbox, with the same disclosure language and audit logging described above.
2. Types of SMS Communications
Once you have opted in, you may receive the following types of messages from Home Pro Valet:
Transactional Messages (sent to homeowners and/or agents):
- Home service gift card delivery notifications
- Vendor referral alerts and follow-up messages
- Referral redemption confirmations
- Appointment reminders
- Billing inquiries and payment notifications
- Account and platform service notifications
Marketing Messages (sent only to users who provide a separate, additional opt-in):
- Promotional offers (if applicable)
- Platform announcements and new feature updates
3. Message Frequency
Message frequency varies based on your activity on the platform. You may receive up to 3 SMS messages per week for transactional communications. Marketing messages are sent less frequently. We will not materially exceed these frequencies without prior notice.
4. Message and Data Rates
Standard message and data rates may apply, depending on your carrier's pricing plan. These fees may vary if the message is sent domestically or internationally. Home Pro Valet is not responsible for any fees charged by your mobile carrier. Msg & data rates may apply.
5. How to Opt Out
You may opt out of SMS messages from Home Pro Valet at any time using any of the following methods:
- Reply STOP to any Home Pro Valet text message. You will receive a single opt-out confirmation message, after which no further messages will be sent to that number.
- Log in to your account portal and toggle off SMS preferences under Settings → Notifications.

After opting out, your consent record is updated immediately. If you later wish to resume receiving messages, reply START to any prior Home Pro Valet message, or contact us to re-enroll.
